To split a file in half, open Split points, tap Merge into one to clear the cuts, then tap the one scissor in the middle. A 20-page file cut after page 10 gives you two 10-page files. For equal chunks, type ranges like 1-10, 11-20, 21-30 and each becomes its own file. For a page-per-file result, tap Split every page instead.

To keep just a few pages, cut right before and after them, then download that piece. If picking or deleting pages is the whole job, the Extract pages and Remove pages tools do it in one step.

Yes. Many free PDF sites upload your file to their own servers to do the work. This tool does not. Your PDF is read and split right inside your browser, so it is never uploaded, stored, or seen by anyone else. That makes it a safe choice for contracts, bank statements, medical records, and anything else you would not want sitting on a stranger's server.

When your split creates a single file, it downloads on its own as a normal PDF. When it creates more than one, they are packaged into a single split.zip so you get one clean download instead of a pile of separate saves. Unzip it on your device to find each file inside, named in order.

• Interactive form fields: they are flattened to their printed look, so they are no longer fillable.
